Afternoon, Spurs' eagerly anticipated first game of pre-season was a bit of a let down; the starting XI was more of an advert for potential transfers than anything else. After spending a good while trying to find a decent stream I watched a typical pre-season performance. Bale and Van Der Vaart did look ok when they came on, but no one really impressed. Not to worry though, it's all about gaining fitness at the moment, and it was a good workout.

Also we have enguired about Berbatov and asked to be kept informed of the situation there as Alex may decide to cash in on him...' - Sounds promising, however I think we could do better than taking Berba back, many fans still haven't forgiven him for his antics prior to his move to Manchester.
jurgenthegerman - RE: We are negotiating with - 'Pav for an extension...confident he will sign' - Pavlyuchenko is probably the best of our current strikers, although thats not a mean feat, and should be retained.
